Season Closing Theater Technology Conference – where we looked behind the scenes

Inspiring performances, genuine professional dialogue, and a community that cares about the future of Hungarian theater culture. This is what this year's Season Closing Conference was all about.

The Hungarian theatre technology professional community gathered under one roof again last week – this time, the Eiffel Műhelyház in Budapest hosted the Season-Closing Theatre Technology Conference. The event is a meeting point for tradition and innovation: a day to summarize the experiences of the season and set the direction for the future, where designers, operators, and technology experts sit at the same table as equal partners.

We, the team of Színpadtechnika (Stage and Lifting Equipment Ltd.) , are proud to be part of this meeting this time too - not only as spectators, but also as speakers and hosts.

Main topics of the day

The conference offered a rich and varied agenda that addressed both daily technical challenges and long-term strategic issues:

• Presentation of theater technology equipment and innovations – the latest technological solutions, which are now available for the domestic market

• Design trends in the world of theaters – how space, movement and dramaturgical needs are changing, and what this means for technical design

• Cost-cutting ideas and practical solutions – realistic answers to the real problems of an industry working with ever-tighter budgets
  

"More from Less" – presentation by János Barna

One of the highlights of the day was our founder, János Barna's presentation, whose title says a lot: "More from Less - How to Optimize Theater Technology Investments?"

Drawing on nearly 30 years of professional experience, the presentation presented the aspects and decision-making models with which theaters – regardless of size and budget – can make more effective investment decisions. We thank everyone who came to listen – the interest and feedback confirmed that this topic addresses a real need.
